* The 1st volume of the monograph is dedicated to the life and work of the great Russian chess player A. Alekhin. Based on a large amount of factual material, the author talks about his sports and life path, gives an analysis of his work, his contribution to the theory of openings, considers combinations and tactical attacks, various methods of attacking the king. The book includes about 200 commented games.

*Volume 2 is dedicated to the strategic art of the first Russian world champion, his contribution to the theory and practice of chess endings. The book contains over 170 commented games and endings. The second volume of the book "Alekhine's Chess Legacy" is dedicated to the strategic art of the first Russian world champion, his contribution to the theory and practice of chess endings. *The final chapter talks about the common creative views of Alekhine and Soviet chess players. Unlike the first volume, which included the biography of the great Russian chess player, samples of his tactical skills, the second volume is devoted to the strategic art of the world champion.

*The main objective of the book is to acquaint readers with Alekhine's skill in positional play, to show how, with the help of deep strategic maneuvers, he prepared the basis for subsequent combinations. The book discusses a number of important issues of strategy, most clearly manifested in the work of Alekhine.

* Serious attention in the second volume is given to issues of protection. Alekhine interpreted the chess defense in his own way, in accordance with his views on chess creativity in general.

*The book also deals with the problems of maneuvering struggle and maneuvering, playing in simple positions. A significant place is given to Alekhine's endgame technique, a technique adorned with small combinations that combines precision of maneuvers with a wide flight of fancy.
