He’s always been told his writing resembles a doctor’s, quick and almost dismissive, as though he’s occupied with more pressing matters.

As he writes, he feels a dull ache at his temples, the strain of this act adding to his discomfort. His attempts to make the note look sincere are overshadowed by a growing sense of unease. The task at hand, though necessary, doesn’t sit well with him. He pauses, pinching the bridge of his nose, trying to shake off the tension.
