This icon is made to order and needs 14-25 days to be competed.
Materials: egg tempera, solid lime wood panel reinforced with horizontal oak support bars, varnish.
The icon is painted using traditional technique - egg tempera on wood. The wood board is traditionally covered with a linen cloth and several layers of gesso (levkas). At the end the board is sanded to a smooth finish. After the painting process is completed, several layers of varnish are applied for long lasting protection.
