This is beginner-friendly sewing tutorial for kitchen set - apron sewing pattern, potholder sewing pattern, oven mitten sewing pattern. Potholder and mitten are quilted.
This tutorial contains patterns and a description of the work process with photos. You need to have basic sewing skills. If you’re not good at quilting, you can handle it. This is a very simple quilting made with a regular sewing machine.
Materials and supplies:
*Sewing machine;
*Scissors;
*Sewing thread;
*Natural fabric (linen, cotton - about 1 m (1.5m wide), including fabric to make bias tape;
*Quilt filler (I used a synthetic winterizer 100g/m2);
*Fabric for the back of the quilt (I used cotton);
*Some cord or ribbon (10 cm) to make a loop;
*Pins;
*Paper tape;
*Patchwork cutting mat and rotary cutter. If you don’t have these tools, you can do without them. Then you need to cut the fabric with scissors to make the bias tape, and do everything by hand;
*Ruled foot to sew parallel lines at the same distance.
