Koala Lovey (Security Blanket) and Koala Rattle Crochet Patterns Bundle
These two written crochet patterns (in US terms) provide instructions to make a koala lovey (or security blanket), and a koala rattle. The items work up easily and quickly, and the finished products make adorable gifts for a new baby!
The finished lovey (granny square) is approximately 30 cm in length and width, and the koala head and arms (amigurumi) is approximately 8 cm in height. The handle of the rattle is about 10 cm in diameter, and is easy for little hands to grasp. A rattle bell ball inside the head makes a jingle noise when the rattle is shaken.
The patterns call for a 4.00 mm crochet hook, and DK yarn in five colours: grey, white, dark green (this colour is only needed for the lovey), light green, and charcoal.
Gauge is not important for either pattern.
Additional materials required for the lovey are:
- darning needle
- pair of 8 mm safety eyes
- teddy filling
Additional materials required for the rattle are:
- darning needle
- pair of 8 mm safety eyes
- teddy filling
- rattle bell ball
Have fun mixing the items up, by adding arms to the rattle, and/or placing bells inside the head of the lovey!
