About this item
As punishment for his crimes, Loki was chained to rocks, and a poisonous snake was fixed over his head, the venom of which pours on Loki's head, causing him to suffer. But the faithful wife of the god Sigyun holds a cup over him, into which the poison is collected. When the cup overflows, Sigyun goes to empty it, and at this time the poison drips on Loki's face, and he beats in agony. This, according to legend, is the cause of earthquakes in Midgard.
