The ancient Slavs believed that the lunula women's amulet helps with gynecological diseases, ensures easy pregnancy, and promotes painless childbirth. The handmade lunula jewelry was worn by women suffering from infertility. Lunnitsa was called to ensure the continuation of the family, the lunula necklace pendant was endowed with the properties of a family talisman, capable of harmonizing the relationship of spouses. It was also believed that this femininity symbol promotes restful sleep, drives away nightmares, and protects its owner from nighttime evil spirits.
