Supplies:  

Yarn – Super Bulky , Chunky  (acrylic, wool or other)   Needles –  US 11/8mm double pointed needles or whichever size needed to obtain gauge. Darning needle, measuring tape, scissors, pompom makers (size 2.5”)

Gauge:     

 4” x 4” = 9.5 stitches and 12 rows in stocking stitch (same as pattern). I recommend using US 11. Needles. Be sure to check your gauge to ensure the hat will fit your little one properly.

Abbreviations:

K = Knit

P = Purl

K2tog = Knit two together

MC = Main color

CC = Contrast color

Size:

Final measurements – 3.75” across at the widest point and 4” high (not including pompom). The mugs used in the photos are 2.25” across at the widest point and 2.75” tall. The marshmallow mugs vary slightly in size depending on who you buy them from, but the hats have a nice stretch to them and will fit all of them.
