Sagan Dailya belongs to the numerous genus of rhododendrons of the family "Heather", which has more than six hundred species. The botanical name of this plant is Adams rhododendron (Lat. Rhododendron adamsii). Sagaan-dali in translation from the Buryat language literally means "White Wing".
