Jouhikko is a bowed lyre known since the early Middle Ages.

Has 3 strings (we install nylon strings, as they are more convenient to use and more durable).

The whole hollowed monolithic body is made of solid European oak or marple, the soundboard is made of northern resonant spruce. We use the best European oils. The lyre is tuned in D tonality. The bow is included in the set.
Each instrument is handmade in our workshop using traditional techniques, with author's markings and may vary slightly from piece to piece.
