Bhanu is a bundle of vibrant energy, known for her sunny disposition and big presence in the UX field. When she finds herself vying for a promotion against her nemesis, Sunny, tensions are high. Hoping for a break, she travels to Hawai’i to visit her family, only to unexpectedly encounter Sunny at her hotel. Witnessing his ex criticize him for being single, Bhanu impulsively declares herself Sunny’s girlfriend to diffuse the situation and secure some peace.

Sunny, who is on the island for a friend’s wedding, is initially exasperated by Bhanu’s interference—she's been a thorn in his side at work. However, faced with the prospect of awkwardness at the wedding due to his ex’s texts about his newfound relationship, Sunny reluctantly agrees to go along with Bhanu’s charade.

As they navigate the complexities of pretending to be a couple amidst Bhanu’s meddling family and Sunny’s supportive but curious friends, the two coworkers find themselves drawn closer together. Despite their initial bickering and differences, they begin to see each other in a new light, especially as the pressure mounts from both work and the escalating romantic tension.

Caught between the allure of a romantic island getaway and the looming career stakes, Sunny and Bhanu must decide whether to maintain their facade or take a chance on something real. With each passing day of their fake relationship, they discover unexpected depths to their connection, prompting them to question whether their weeklong adventure might just lead to something lasting beyond the confines of the island paradise.
