About this item

Daria of Rome (3rd century ) is a Christian saint venerated in the community of martyrs . A pagan priestess, Daria of Rome was sent to marry the Christian Chrysanthus, and she was converted by him to Christianity. For their confessions of Christianity and decisions to lead virginal lives, Saint Daria and her husband suffered martyr’s deaths. The piece is in the form of a guardian angel, holding in his arms an icon bearing the sacred image of Saint Daria. On the reverse is a prayer to Saint Daria

This icon is a high-resolution lithography print on hardboard, embellished with light-reflecting gold and silve foil.
