Alexievsky cross is a cross of worship of the XIV century. Four-pointed, with expanding ends. It was installed by Archbishop Alexy of Novgorod (hence its name) on the western wall of St. Sophia Cathedral in Veliky Novgorod

The cross has made of polyresin material, decorative and artistic processing, varnishing. On the reverse side of the icon there is a loop for mounting to the wall.

Polyresin or, as it is otherwise called, artificial stone is a fundamentally new type of material that was created for the manufacture of various kinds of products and finishing materials.
If we consider the chemical composition of this artificial material, we will find that among the components there is mainly acrylic resin, as well as aluminum hydroxide.

 Often the ends of the cross are completely inscribed in a circle.
