About this item
The model features a carved Celtic Cross motif and circular ornamental braids related to the early medieval period. The shield is enriched and reinforced with steel bolts. The material I am using to create this model is 15mm thick birch plywood due to its lightweight and durability.
This shield is blackened using the technique of wood burning, it is treated with linen seed oil and water-based varnish.
The model can be used as a decorative wall hanger or for historical reenactment, LARP, etc.
Size - 70 cm ( 27.5 inches ) in diameter.
Weight - cca 3 kg ( 6.6 pounds ).
