Main parts of the toy are knitted IN ROUNDs. Small parts are knitted flat.
FINISHED SIZE : approximately 20/16 cm or  7.87/6.3 inch long - from head to tows

This pattern fits the knitters of average level, you should have the basic skills of knitting in rounds + some extra skills such as short rows and I-cord. Beginners may find this pattern not so easy, but if you get the basic skills and have the time and desire to knit the Hippo – it is quite possible.
The pattern includes the Hippo itself + set of basic clothes (the pants and the vest) 
The patterns include more than 40 pictures with step-by-step instructions.

Language: English and Russian.

MATERIALS:
A set of 2.00-3.00 mm double pointed needles (sock needles / (set of 5 double pointed needles + 1)
2.0 -2.5 mm crochet hook (for casting on)
Toy filling for stuffing, 
Safe eyes 10-14 mm
You will also require stitch markers 
Knitting needle for sewing the details

YARN:
Alize Mohair Classic/ Alize Mohair Classic natural  (1 thread) or  Yarn Art Angora de luxe (3 threads)
You can also take the mink wool ( 2 threads + 1 warp thread). It perfectly fits this pattern
NOTE:  Any yarn type or shade can be used for this pattern. Keep in mind the finished size may be altered with different yarn types. Recommended characteristics 240-250 m/100g (262-273 yard/100g)
