The story of the knife

With this gorgeous Serbian style Damascus steel meat cleaver, you'll be able to cook to your heart's content. Chopping with Serbian knives is one of the best experiences you'll ever have.

The blade of this cleaver is hand forged from a blend of 1095 and 15N20 steel, which has been expertly heated and folded about 280-350 times and then quenched to achieve a Rockwell Hardness between 54 and 56. We love how the raindrop pattern adds a beautiful touch to such a powerful knife. This knife is visibly full tang, meaning you can see the blade running all the way through the handle. Two rich brown micarta mounts for the handle are held to the tang by three sturdy metal fixtures. Included with this beautiful piece is an equally beautiful hand-tooled genuine leather sheath that features a reddish-brown finish with a blackened border, and provides a snap closure around the handle as well as a belt loop for easy carry. This knife comes well oiled - and it is recommended to polish the knife with mineral oil from time to time to prevent rusting or corrosion. Please keep in mind when purchasing that the Damascus pattern is completely unique to each and every blade, meaning no two are the exact same.
