Basic crochet knowledge, the ability to read descriptions correctly and attentiveness are required.

Required Materials:

• Fine/4ply yarn Yarn Art Jeans 50g/160m
• Colors and yarn consumption:
• No.80 – main color – gray (75 g, more than 1 ball), 
• No.03 –  cream (15 g),
• For the sweater: No.81 –  light blue (50 g);
• For the pants: No. 67 – light yellow, No.11 – light green (20 g of each)
• To embroider eyes and eyebrows: No.70 – dark brown, No. 01 – white.
• Hook size 1.7 mm.
• Stuffing material – fiberfill.
• Safety eyes size 10 mm.
• Wire (with a diameter of 0.7-1 mm), approx. 15 cm.
• Scissors, sewing needle, sewing pins, adhesive plaster, stitch marker
• Piece of plastic.
• Button size 20 mm.
• Cotter pin 25 mm for the head (optional).

Abbreviations (American terminology):

MR – magic ring

CH – chain

SC – single crochet

INC – increase (2sc in one stitch)

DEC – decrease (2 sc together)

SL ST – slip stitch

FLO – front loops only

BLO – back loops only

 

The elephant stands on its own, leaning on its tail.

The height of the finished toy is about 10.63 inch (27 cm) if you use the yarn and hook size indicated in the description.

You are welcome to use any yarn, choose the hook size and keep in mind that the size and general appearance of the toy will depend on the yarn weight. Also, do not forget that for a toy of a different size, you need to choose the eyes of the desired diameter.

The pattern includes an additional description of the pants. The pants is a piece of clothing that can be removed.
