The canonical image of the icon of the Holy Trinity is based on the Old Testament plot. The biblical book of Genesis tells of three angels who visited the house of Abraham, in whom he saw the Lord of all things and accepted his Will (Gen. 18.1-33). They announced that Sarah, the wife of Abraham, would soon give birth to a son, and a great nation would arise from their family, and the Lord would grant him strength and blessing. The icon of the Holy Trinity in the New Testament image preserved this plot, but changed its meaning.
The icon "Trinity" depicts three meek angels in long robes, arranged around a table. Symbol objects are visible behind each angel:
the erected Christian church is the earthly "home" of God, where the Holy Spirit resides;
a tree with green foliage is a tree of eternal life, which the Lord can reward;
The high mountain is a prototype of Golgotha, where the redeeming blood of the Savior of the world was shed.
The iconographic image of the Old Testament Trinity-the Hospitality of Abraham Andrey Rublev tells about the trinity of God. There are no figures of Sarah and Abraham in the image, and the attention of the praying person is focused on the mysterious essence of the Creator.
The icon is made according to the canon of the Orthodox Church using authentic technology.
