About this item

The waxworm is a parasitic moth that feeds on bee honeycombs and causes damage to the bee family. However, thanks to its unique natural ability to dissolve beeswax, the wax moth has found its application in the fight against Koch's bacillus, the causative virus of tuberculosis, which is covered with a hard-to-solve wax shell.

The chemical composition of the wax moth extract is complex and very diverse. The drug shows its high biological activity in relation to various difficult to cure diseases. It stably reduces blood pressure, is recommended in the recovery after a heart attack and for its prevention, used in a comprehensive program for the treatment of female infertility and other gynecological problems.

The ability of various preparations based on wax moth to resorb scars of various tissues, the localization of which does not matter, has been studied. These are scars after myocardial infarction, postoperative and traumatic keloid scars, and others.
