Item description from the seller

Saint Anastasia was Queen Theodora's first attendant and was given the title of Patrician by Justinian, who singled her out for her virtues and graces. However, due to the Queen's envy, Saint Anastasia was forced to leave Constantinople and find refuge in Alexandria, where she built a monastery in order to follow an ascetic life.

But Justinian's men managed to track her down. Thus, Saint Anastasia escaped once more and ended up in Abba Daniel's Hermitage, who dressed her in men's clothes and hid her in a cave.

Saint Anastasia lived there in seclusion for about thirty years until her death.

The icon was consecrated by the provost of the Russian Orthodox church of St.Seraphim in Moscow.
This is a religious object, please, treat it carefully and in a worthy manner
