Stepan Emelianovich Nechai (born November 11, 1941, in Zboriv, Ternopil Oblast – died May 19, 2003, in Ternopil)
was a renowned painter. He was the husband of S. Nechai-Soroka. In 2000, he was honored as a Merited Artist of Ukraine.
He became a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine in 1976.
Nechai graduated from the Kyiv Art Institute in 1972, where he was taught by V. Kostetsky, A. Plamenitsky, and V. Shatalin.
After graduation, he worked at the Ternopil Artistic and Production Combine of the Art Fund of Ukraine.
He participated in city, regional, all-Ukrainian, and international art exhibitions since 1973. He had personal exhibitions
in Ternopil (1991-92, posthumous – 2006, 2011, 2016), and Khmelnytskyi (2012, posthumous).
His main field was easel painting (thematic picture, landscape, portrait, still life) in a realistic style. His work has left a significant
impact on the art world. His dedication to his craft and his unique style have made him a notable figure in Ukrainian art.

Anatoly Nikolaevich Karpenko (born March 20, 1938, in Chervony Yar, Dnipropetrovsk region) was a Soviet builder. He was awarded
the title of Hero of Socialist Labor in 1981. He was a candidate member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine (CPU) from 1971 to 1976, and a member of the CPU Central Committee from 1976 to 1990. He was born on March 20, 1938, in the village of Chervony Yar, in the family of the Hero of the Soviet Union, Nikolai Grigorievich Karpenko.
In 1956, he graduated from the Kryvyi Rih Construction School in the Dnipropetrovsk region and worked as a builder in the trust
“Krivoy Rog Glavstroy”. He was a shock worker of the five-year plans, a winner of socialist competitions, and an innovator of production.
He became a member of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union in 1963.
From 1966 to 1998, he was an installer, the foreman of the complex brigade of the construction and installation management “Promstroy”
of the Ternopil construction management, and the chairman of the trade union committee “Promstroy”.
He graduated from the Ternopil Financial and Economic Institute.
Afterwards, he retired in the city of Ternopil.
