The Women Voice Socks pattern was created spontaneously, on the occasion of the European Breast Cancer Day. Let knitting and wearing them remind us that while taking care of others, we should not forget about ourselves. And that no one has the right to decide for us in matters that concern us.
The socks are knit from the cuff down, in rounds. Just below the cuff they feature a colorwork motif of the pink ribbon, a symbol of the fight with breast cancer. Afterwards socks are plain with a contrast heel with a flap, until the toes which are preceded by a colorwork pattern of breasts.
Even though the pattern is free, I encourage you to donate even a small contribution to any foundation supporting the fight against breast cancer or other cancer.

Main color (MC) - ca. 140-200 m / 153-219 y
Contrast color (CC) - ca. 100-150 m / 109-164 y
The sample socks were made in size M, with Dye Dye Done Simple Sock (MC) and Woolly Hugs Year Socks (CC).
Needles
2.25 mm (US size 1) circular needles, 80 cm (32”) or DPNs (or other size to obtain gauge). Depending on the yarn tension in colorwork, you may need larger needles for the colorwork part (2.5 mm - US size 1.5).
Gauge
34 sts x 48 rnds in 10 cm/4” on 2.25 mm needles in stockinette stitch, in the round, after blocking.
