Hello! My name is Lana and I want to tell you about my shop. I got acquainted with the art of botanical bas-relief in 2019 when I was looking for home decor. And I think it is necessary to talk a little about what kind of technique it is, botanical bas-relief. To begin with, I go to the fields and collect suitable herbs. Then I roll out a piece of clay and form an even layer. Next, I lay out the composition of the plants, creating, painting and rolling the plants into the clay. The next step is to take the plants out of the clay and get an impression of the herbs in the clay. Next, I set up the mold and fill it with plaster. After hardening, I release the gypsum from clay, dry it and process the panel. Thus, 4 natural elements are involved in the creation of the panel: plants, minerals in the form of clay, gypsum and water. This makes it an environmentally friendly and natural element. They can also be compared to fossils, imprints of ancient plants on stones. In my works, I preserve parts of nature in the form of bas-reliefs, and nature is a sculptor. I started to study the method of creating botanical panels and I really liked it, I realized that this is what I want to do. And this was facilitated by favorable circumstances, I live close to nature, in the steppe and have access to wild wildflowers, which are necessary when creating a botanical panel. I spent many hours looking for the best options for creating a botanical bas-relief, there were many experiments and mistakes. As a result, I have developed my own style, technologies and vision, which I embody in my work. For example, when making impressions, I use different types of clay that tint the plaster casting, giving different shades and moods. I also like to paint botanical panels and make them bright and unique. This is perhaps the most valuable work, since I spend a lot of time when I paint over every blade of grass.
