Very detailed PATTERN for creating a crocheted bird!
Materials needed:
1. Yarn for crocheting:
- Mercerized cotton (color: red). Weight 200m/50g.
- Lace yarn (color: black) for the black spot on the head and wings. Weight 200m/20g.
- Lace yarn (color: red) for the beak. Weight 200m/20g.
2. Yarn for feet:
- Any light yarn of beige or grey color
3. Crochet hooks (choose the hook size based on the recommendations for the yarn you are using). I used 1.1 mm hook (for body) and 0.6 mm (for a beak and black spot on the head).
4. Black plastic eyes size 5 mm.
5. Wire D=0.6 mm approx. 64 cm long for feet (8 pcs 8 cm each)
6. Small eye needle to sew on the bird’s wings and fastening off.
Large eye needle to make crest. 7 cm long needle to make sculpting for eyes.
7. Craft glue or any other strong glue to glue on eyes.
8. PVA glue for crest and feet.
9. Stuffing material: polyester or holofiber.
