- Churchill Mark III (A22) tank "Bertie" with hull number A22B19, commanded by Captain John P. Hartley, served in the 7th Battalion of the Royal Tank Regiment. It took part in the Battle of El Alamein (1942). "Bertie" was one of the tanks that broke through the German defenses during the Battle of El Alamein and played a key role in the Allied victory in this battle. "Bertie" is one of the few Churchill Mark III (A22) tanks to be named. The reasons for naming it "Bertie" are unknown. "Bertie" is one of the examples of the courage and determination of British tank crews in World War II.
- The Tank, Infantry, Mk IV (A22) Churchill was a British infantry tank used in the Second World War, best known for its heavy armour, large longitudinal chassis with all-around tracks with multiple bogies, its ability to climb steep slopes, and its use as the basis of many specialist vehicles.
