Dinosaur Egg Crochet Pattern
My dinosaur-loving son turns 3 years old in less than 2 weeks, and I’ve been procrastinating for weeks now about how to make the egg for the baby dinosaur that he is convinced is growing in HIS tummy (as I am currently pregnant with our third, and he also wants to have a baby), and will hatch on his birthday.
I wasn’t even sure that crocheting an egg would work, and had decided that paper mache was probably the best option…but thought it would be worth trying something using some of the left-over T-shirt yarn in my stash. I am very pleased with the result, and hope that my son will be too!
The written crochet pattern (in US terms) calls for T-shirt yarn and a 10.00 mm crochet hook.
Additional materials required are:
- darning needle
- sewing needle
- red thread
- one large button
P.S. You can find the pattern for his baby dinosaur (that he asked me to “build with orange crochet”, after seeing a picture of a dinosaur that I had drawn) in my Insprie Uplift store.
