OVERVIEW
Ragnar Shaggy Breeches was a legendary Viking hero who, according to Norse sagas, "was the biggest and fairest of men that human eyes have seen". He "earned" his first wife by killing a giant snake that guarded her home, then fathered future conquerors Ivar the Boneless, Bjorn Ironside, and Sigurd Snake-in-the-Eye through a subsequent marriage. Whether myth or legend, Ragnar would have appreciated this handsome, fearsome axe.
This axe has been created with a sturdy ash wood handle and a 2Cr13 stainless steel head. The grip is wrapped with leather for comfort (not that the Vikings needed comfort, you understand), and the shaft is stained with a pleasing deep hue. 24-3/4" overall and weighs 2 lbs, 4 oz. The cutting edge is 5-3/4". Includes a free belt hanger.
