ABOUT AUTHOR:
Victor Kirillovich Gaiduk was a Ukrainian painter, born on December 4, 1926 in Zaporizhzhia. 
He was a member and exhibitor of the Union Artists of Ukraine since 1963. Gaiduk received 
his art education at the Studio of the Zaporizhzhia Association of Artists from 1951 to 1957, 
under the guidance of H. Kolosovskyi and V. Stupin. He was creatively active in Zaporizhzhia 
and participated in all-Ukrainian art exhibitions since 1963, abroad art exhibitions since 1999, 
and solo art exhibitions since 1965. Gaiduk worked in the easel painting industry and was 
the author of numerous landscapes and still life paintings. He was the brother of the famous 
Ukrainian artist Zinaida Gaiduk. Works by Victor Kirillovich Gaiduk are represented in 
the Zaporizhzhia Regional Art Museum, in gallery and private collections in Ukraine and abroad. 
Gaiduk passed away on May 12, 1992 in Zaporizhzhia.
