HOW TO TAKE MEASUREMENTS TO ORDER A DIADEM?

Before you order a diadem you need to know the girth of your head. This can be measured with a tailor meter adjusted strictly parallel with the ground. The measurements should be taken twice: along the brow bone and 3-4 cm above the brow bone. For easier handling of the meter that must be in alignment with the ground, I recommend you to take measurements with a partner.

*HOW TO BEND/ADJUST THE DIADEM TO FIT YOUR HEAD?

Diadems are made open-end that allows to precisely adjust them to fit the customer’s head. Since each person has a unique shape of his head, the diadem requires proper adjustment. A well-matched diadem sits tightly, doesn’t go awry and put pressure on your head. Soldered junctions are sufficiently strong, which allows to withstand stress caused by bending, but I definitely don’t recommend trampling on the diadem :-) It is better if your partner bends the diadem, since you never can tell, even with a mirror, if the decoration sits properly from the back. Your partner takes the diadem in his hands and bends it, frequently fitting on your head to make you feel comfortable as much as possible. ATTENTION! Learn the proper way of putting on the diadem: put the diadem from above with care; don’t move its ends apart, because the metal is not elastic and the decoration won’t take an initial shape on its own. Otherwise you will need to bend it again, which after a while may damage the diadem if you bend it frequently.

With the lapse of time, goods made of brass grow dim (due to environment exposure, the contact with dirty hands, etc.). You can restore the glare by polishing the diadem with a woolen or felted cloth wetted with a reviver for metals (for instance, metal polishing paste “DIALUX”), then washing off the remainder by means of a brush and dishwashing detergent (e.g. “Fairy”). You can use also a tissue for cleaning of silver and gold jewelry that can be found in jewelry stores. I do not recommend exposing the decoration to any chemical agents (cosmetics, perfumery, soap, etc.). Do not allow your children to play with the jewelry. Please, try not to scratch, bend or drop the product. Keep it in a closed drawer or a lidded box or a bag. Note that the inside of the diadem invisible when wearing is not polished in order to reduce the cost price. If you wish the product to be polished including the inside surface, it is needed to state this condition beforehand.

DELIVERY

The goods are a handicraft, therefore it takes 15-20 days before shipping. I ship the packages by airmail. All packages are insured and have a tracking number. All decorations are carefully wrapped in a packaging material and put in a box with thick walls. Worldwide shipping takes usually about 20 business days. Sometimes, it takes 35-60 business days (approx. 5 % of all cases). This may happen when the postal service mistakenly sends the package by sea, or when customs formalities drag on. I will provide you with a number to track the package after shipping. The customer is held liable for all customs fees, dues, taxes, if any in your country. I am also irresponsible for all possible delays of delivery, if any occur at the customs.
