Story behind the sword

The shield splitting, double edge blade on this sword is a traditional design that has been handed down through the centuries from early Norman times. The Vikings believed that a sword should be carried as a symbol of excitement and loyalty in battle. This is the protection of one's lord and of one's family members as well.

Design of a sword

This beautifully hand forged Damascus 1095/15n20 Alloy Steel blade is battle ready and razor sharp with a HCR at about 54-55 with 176 blade layers. A magnificent twist pattern adorns the blade. This impressive sword's blade measures 30 inches in length and is full tang with a single peened pommel. The pommel and guard are made of pure brass. Measuring 9.75 inches the handle is crafted out of wood and wrapped in genuine leather. Included is an amazing hand crafted tanned leather adjustable back sheath to be able to carry a sword of such pride and honor with ease.

There is something truly beautiful about this sword. It is made of natural materials and features a Damascus blade with a unique twist pattern.
