PDF Vintage 1910s The Mary Frances Knitting and Crocheting Book
This charming project is a unique treasure for its delightful story, charming illustrations, comical characters, abundance of nostalgia, and practical instructions that introduce children to the world of knitting and crocheting in a gentle and encouraging manner, while providing a wardrobe of knitwear for dolls.
Enjoy the adventures of Mary Frances as the crochet hook, knitting needles and yarn come to life to teach her how to knit and crochet. You'll get to know the Raven Neck, Knitting and Dexterity, the Wool Ball, the Yarn Baby, and the Beautiful Fairy as they guide you through a series of lessons teaching new skills in a storybook format. Kids will only love the storyline, and by following along with the projects, they will be rewarded with craft skills and a beautiful collection of clothes for the 18-inch dolls. Adults and doll collectors alike will appreciate the historical authenticity of the knitwear patterns of the early 1900s. More than forty designs are presented, including doll hats, scarves, sweaters, shawls, slippers, purses, petticoats, leggings, boots, bracelets, mittens, and more. These designs can be used to create authentic vintage outfits or updated with modern colors and accents. Modern girls can make their dolls look fashionable by combining vintage knitwear with fashion accessories.
