Hand-forged Gyuto Chef Knife

This is an entirely handmade chef's knife made from carbon steel with a copper and Tamarisk wood handle. The elegant, faceted handle is made from highly figured Tamarisk wood and provides a smooth, tapered feel in the hand. The copper bolster features a rounded, "museum-fit" transition from wood to metal and gives the piece a nice weighty balance.
This piece is unique and represents a fusion of art and function in something that looks beautiful and cuts well and should last a lifetime if properly maintained.
This knife is a solid workhorse with an 8.5" blade and has a slightly-curved cutting profile that makes it ideal as a veggie knife. The bevel is thin with a flat grind giving it a durable and razor-sharp edge.
