Koala Lovey (Security Blanket) Crochet Pattern

This written crochet pattern (in US terms) provides instructions to make a koala lovey (or security blanket), and the finished product makes the perfect gift for a baby or toddler!

The finished lovey (granny square) is approximately 30 cm in length and width, and the koala head and arms (amigurumi) is approximately 8 cm in height.

The pattern calls for a 4.00 mm crochet hook, and DK yarn in five colours: grey, white, dark green, light green, and charcoal.

Gauge is not important for this pattern.

Additional materials required are:

- darning needle
- pair of 8 mm safety eyes
- teddy filling

NB: if concerned about the 'safety' of safety eyes (especially if the item will be played with by a baby, toddler, or young child), eyes can be embroidered with black yarn and darning needle.
