Koala Rattle Crochet Pattern
This koala rattle crochet pattern is easy to follow, and the finished item works up quickly, making an adorable gift for a new baby.
The handle of the rattle is about 10 cm in diameter, and is easy for little hands to grasp. A rattle bell ball inside the head makes a jingle noise when the rattle is shaken.
The written pattern (in US terms) calls for a 4.00 mm crochet hook, and DK yarn in four colours: light green, grey, white, and charcoal.
Gauge is not important for this pattern.
Additional materials required are:
- darning needle
- pair of 8 mm safety eyes
- teddy filling
- rattle bell ball
NB: if concerned about the ‘safety’ of safety eyes (especially if the item will be played with by a baby, toddler, or young child), eyes can be embroidered with black yarn and darning needle.
