Motherwort grass (Leonuri herba)
Motherwort grass contains essential oil, tannins, flavonoids (rutin, quercetin, hyperoside, etc.), iridoids, saponins, vitamin C, carotene, macro- and microelements and other biologically active substances.
The infusion of motherwort herb has a pronounced sedative effect, has hypotensive properties, slows down the rhythm and increases the strength of heart contractions.
Indications
Increased nervous excitability, sleep disorders, neurasthenia, neuro-circulatory dystonia.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the drug, pregnancy, children under 12 years of age.
Method of administration and dosage
About 9 g (2 tablespoons) of motherwort herb is placed in an enameled dish, 200 ml (1 cup) of hot boiled water is poured, covered with a lid and insisted on a boiling water bath for 15 minutes, cooled at room temperature for 45 minutes, filtered, the remaining raw materials are squeezed out.
The volume of the resulting infusion is brought to 200 ml with boiled water .
The infusion is taken orally 1/4 - 1/3 cup 2-3 times a day 15 minutes before meals.
It is recommended to shake the infusion before use.
