The skill level would be considered upper beginner as crouhet lessons are not included in the pattern. You will need to know basic crochet skills such as making a magic circle, crocheting in continuous rounds, single crochet, increasing and decreasing and basic sewing skills. 

The pattern is simple and easy to follow and the result will be a cute little imp who will brighten up your day!
