About this item

Lyre with a vulture \ Rebec
An ancient bowed string instrument. The neck adds convenience to the game.
This instrument is made WITHOUT a pickup as standard. The cartridge adds $75 to the price and increases production time by 2 weeks.
Gudoc (Gadulka) - the Novgorod Horn or the Smyk is a bowed instrument. This tool was based on historical prototypes for the archeology of V. Novgorod-the 12th-century gudok. Gudoc has 3 strings (we make them from nylon, which conveys an authentic sound, A-D-G).
Many of them were found during excavations in Eastern Europe, especially in Russia. However, bowed lyres like this were also found in other regions, including Hedeby (Hattaba), which was an important Viking settlement.
As with the Jouhikko or Talharp, the instrument's playing technique differs from that of the violin. Changing the note of the voice string occurs when touching the string with your fingers, and not pressing the string to the body.

The instrument body is made of whole massif oak, the soundboard is made of resonant spruce. It is tinted with a natural water-based varnish of its own production, prepared on the basis of historical methods of wood processing.

The bow is included in the set. It is sent in a soft case.
