Holy Week is of crucial importance for Christianity.
The icon "Shestodnev" exists in two versions. In one case, the creation of the world is depicted in six stamps of the icon.
Another icon in the stamps presents festive scenes corresponding to the six days of the week: "Descent into Hell" (Sunday), "Cathedral of the Archangels" (Monday), "Beheading of John the Baptist" (Tuesday), "Annunciation" (Wednesday), "Foot Washing" (Thursday) and "Crucifixion" (Friday). Most of the composition is occupied by the image of the "Sabbath of All Saints". In the center here is the Prepared Throne — Etymasia with the Calvary Cross. On both sides of the throne there are images of angels with crowns in their hands — they are preparing to crown the righteous. Above the throne is the Savior on a throne surrounded by angels. With His right hand, He points to the open Gospel (the inscription on the Gospel: "Come to Me, all you who labor and are burdened" (Matthew 11:28-29). Above, in a row of festive stamps, there is an image of the Holy Trinity in the angelic circle with the upcoming Mother of God and John the Forerunner.
