The conversation Icon of the Mother of God is an icon of the Most Holy Theotokos revered in Orthodoxy, depicting the appearance of the Mother of God to the sexton George Yurysh before the completion of the construction of the church on the site of the Tikhvin Icon of the Mother of God in 1383. The legend says that the Virgin who appeared indicated to put a wooden, not a metal cross on the temple. Together with the Mother of God, Nicholas the Wonderworker appeared, who promised to give a sign to the little believers. The request of the Virgin was not fulfilled and then the master, who was trying to install a metal cross, caught a gust of wind and put the unharmed man on the ground. After that, a wooden cross was placed on the temple.
