Obverse has an image of a face looking left and two hands holding the earth. Reverse has the Expo '85 logo with the words around the edge "The International Exposition, Tsukuba, Japan, 1985" in both English and Japanese. The medal is in its original capsule, which is nested in a blue velvet presentation case. Included is an explanation of the medal (in Japanese). A sticker on the inside of the case attests that this medal is a limited edition.
