Rutilated Quartz is a form of clear quartz that is characterized by the presence of “needles” or strands of rutile within the structure of the quartz crystal. Rutile is a titanium dioxide mineral, and sometimes contains large quantities of iron oxide.

Rutilated Quartz is an illuminator for the soul, promoting spiritual growth.  It cleanses and energises the aura.  Draws off negative energy and disease, letting go of the past.  Rutilated Quartz gives protection against the ill thoughts of others.  It helps to reach the root of problems and facilitates transitions and a change of direction.  Soothes dark moods and acts as an antidepressant.  Rutilated Quartz relieves fears, phobias and anxiety.  Promotes forgiveness at all levels.

The pendant has had a patina applied to add depth to the copper but is not sealed and will continue to tarnish over time. Excess tarnish can be cleaned off easily with a jewelry polishing cloth or some 0000-grade steel wool.

Keep copper jewelry in a cool, dry place. If possible, store in an anti-tarnish pouch, box or cloth. If you have none of these, use a tightly sealed plastic bag to keep air from contacting the copper items.

Natural stones are not perfect and may have surface characteristics and color variations. I take all my photos in natural daylight to try to keep them true to color. Colors will vary slightly from one computer monitor to another.
