Your blade can last a lifetime with proper care. Here are some guidelines for care and maintenance:  - After each use, always wipe and dry your blade to prevent corrosion. - Store your blade in a sheath for safety when not in use. - Maintain sharpness by using a water stone or strop for razor-like edges. - Depending on your purchase, the handle may be crafted from various materials such as naturally dense and oily wood, buffalo horn, camel bone, resin, micarta, etc. While durable, it's not indestructible. - Avoid subjecting the handle to excessive heat, direct flame, acidic or caustic solutions, or long-term submersion in liquid. - For long-term storage, clean the blade with WD-40, thoroughly dry it, apply a layer of mineral oil, wrap it in plastic wrapping paper, and store it in a sheath.  Taking these steps will help preserve the quality and longevity of your blade.
