What is the purpose of an SVG file?

Accepted Answer

SVG (Scalable Vector Graphic) files are a vector image format that can be scaled up or down without losing quality. They are commonly used with design and cutting applications like Cricut, Silhouette, and Adobe Illustrator, where each color in the image is treated as a separate cutting layer.

Question 7

Can I download and use the files on my phone?

Accepted Answer

The SVG file format is designed to work with design and cutting applications like Cricut, Cameo Silhouette, and Adobe Illustrator, which are typically used on computers. It is not recommended to open or directly use SVG files on a mobile device, as the results may not be as expected. It's best to download and work with these files on a computer.

Question 8

How do I extract the archived files I've downloaded?

Accepted Answer

Most computers, whether Windows or Mac, have built-in software to extract or "unzip" archived files. Typically, you just need to right-click the downloaded file and select the "Extract All" option to unpack the contents. If you have trouble with the built-in tools, you can also try using free third-party software like 7-Zip, WinRAR, or WinZip to extract the files.
