Sniffing Out Murder (A Bailey the Bloodhound Mystery)

When a murder sparks an extensive investigation in Crosbyville, children’s book author Pris and her loyal bloodhound, Bailey, must sniff out the truth before the entire town falls apart.

After realizing that teaching wasn’t her true calling, Priscilla found inspiration for her first children’s book in her three-year-old bloodhound’s talent for uncovering the truth, leading to the creation of The Adventures of Bailey the Bloodhound. After the book received an overwhelmingly positive response, Pris moved back to her hometown of Crosbyville, Indiana, to continue the series. She’s surprised by how much the town has changed—yet equally shocked by how much remains the same.

Pris is dismayed to find that newly elected school board trustee Whitney Kelley—a former high school bully—has set her sights on cutting "unnecessary spending" on arts and social programs, including Pris and Bailey’s beloved pet-assisted reading initiative. When a brief confrontation between them occurs, it seems like nothing out of the ordinary. But when Bailey finds Whitney’s lifeless body hidden in a bed of begonias, the town quickly turns against Pris and Bailey, treating them as prime suspects.

With Bailey’s keen instincts and Pris’s knowledge of the community, can they prove they’re not the ones to blame, or will the town’s suspicions lead them astray?
