About this item

This work was inspired by Arkady Eidman's poem "Christmas Night" from his book "Into the Light in Your Window...".

Christmas morning.

             And immersed in sleep

the world sleeps,

            tired from night activities.

It's only so quiet

           abandoned platform

at the station

          with a strange name "Childhood".

The world sleeps.

And at this time the trains are rushing

orbits of the non-solar system,

in which it shines brightly

                midnight star,

ascended

       over the new Bethlehem.

If you want details, read on. I think it will be interesting)))

It all happened quite simply. My husband and I came to a car service to carry out MOT on the car. While my husband was busy with paperwork, I waited in a cozy room for visitors. It is decorated in the style of a British home: soft striped wallpaper, a large soft sofa with a plaid blanket, a fireplace and other elements of this style. Everything is very comfortable, like home. There are books on the coffee table.

One of the books caught my eye for some reason. It was called "Into the light in your window ...". Author Arkady Eidman. A book with poems that attracted with their sincerity, kindness, warmth, love in every line and, I would say, "with an open heart." I was very surprised by her presence there. To my questions, the employees said that the author of this book was the father of one of the founders of the company, who, unfortunately, had recently left us, and kindly allowed me to take the book home to read.

After reading the book, I did not want to part with it.

Her energy is like an old good friend. Wise, patient, understanding and accepting you as you are. Always ready to support, share warmth, love. In difficult times, turn your shoulder and find the right words.

My attempts to find it on the Internet and buy it were unsuccessful. Yes, and the circulation - only 500 copies, suggested that it is unlikely that it is on free sale.

Upon returning it to its owner, the author's son, I shared my impressions and clarified where you can still buy the book. In return, I received it as a gift. With the words: "Mom said - Let good people have it."

Here is the story behind this work. Simply and easily. As if the author of the book, Arkady Eidman, shared his energy, love and warmth.
