I wanted to make an Elephant family for a friend who was having a baby boy and this is what I came up with.
The Baby is made using an I hook and one strand of worsted weight yarn at a gauge of 12 sts = 3".
For the Adult Elephant, I used double strand of worsted weight yarn held together and an L hook at a gauge of 7 sts =3".
Both are made the same.
The Elephant pattern produces a flat piece that you sew up and stuff to give it shape. I used short rows on the head.
Enjoy!
