Denim upcycle pattern, Quilt basket pattern, Jean chenille quilting tutorial, Upcycle chenille tutorial, Denim chenille
You can sew this upcycled denim basket from recycled jeans. This chenille basket is very soft and pleasant to the touch.
To create this brushed effect, it is necessary to use denim (upcycled jeans). This is perfect if the denim contains 100% cotton.
You don’t need to know how to quilt. Everything is sewn very simply.
It is not difficult work at all, but very time consuming.
This sewing pattern for storage basket does not include sewing tutorials. This tutorial contains patterns and a description of the work process with photos. You need to have basic sewing skills.
Basket diameter – 19 cm (7 1/2 “), height 12 cm (4 3/4”).
Materials and supplies:
*Sewing machine;
*Denim needles;
*Sharp scissors;
*Sewing thread;
*Old jeans or denim fabric (I used jeans of 2 colors – darker and lighter);
*Fabric for the back of the quilt (any dense non-elastic fabric);
*Flannel (I used old baby diapers, you can also use old shirts; but this fabric must be 100% cotton);
*Colored fabric for the center squares, 100% cotton or linen;
*Sturdy, hard brush (metal brush for dogs will work);
*Interfacing material (batting, etc. I used black one);
*Quilt filler (I used a synthetic winterizer);
