VINTAGE PAPER DOLL PDF
Paper dolls are a good game! For the first time, paper dolls with clothes for cutting appeared in the XVIII century, but in those distant times they were used only by milliners, for visual demonstration of new models of hats and clothes.
Only at the beginning of the XIX century, paper dolls with clothes began to be used as a game that develops the creative abilities of girls.
One of the most popular paper dolls for girls in the middle of the last century were dolls under the brand Betsy McCall. This paper doll with clothing sets has been published by McCall's Magazine since may 1951. The first artist was Kay Morrissey. In may 1951, Betsy is positioned as a little girl who is friends with a Dachshund dog named Nosy. In the June, July, and August 1951 editions of the magazine, Betsy is joined successively by her mother, Mrs. McCall, her father, Mr. James McCall, and her cousin, Barbara, a girl of Betsy's age. Over the course of several years, other characters were created that joined Betsy's games and adventures: numerous cousins, friends, and Pets.
