Infusion of rhizomes and roots of elecampane has an expectorant effect.
Indications
It is used in adults and children over 12 years of age as an expectorant for diseases of the upper respiratory tract.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the drug, kidney disease, pregnancy, lactation, childhood (up to 12 years).
Method of administration and dosage
About 12-16 g (2 tablespoons) of raw materials are placed in enameled dishes, 200 ml (1 cup) of hot boiled water is poured, covered with a lid and heated in a boiling water bath for 30 minutes, cooled for 10 minutes at room temperature, filtered, the remaining raw materials are squeezed out. The volume of the resulting broth is brought to 200 ml with boiled water .
Take inside 1/2 cup 2-3 times a day. The course of treatment is 2 weeks.
Before use, it is recommended to shake the broth.
Side effects
Allergic reactions, heartburn, abdominal pain are possible.
