LOMO Compact camera SMENA-8M in Box with English manual

The Smena 8m camera was as a very successfully type long time in production since 1970 as minimum up to 1993. It was produced by LOMO in today's St. Petersburg (in the past Leningrad) in Russia. They are part of Russian camera history. And very surprisingly they are capable of taking quite acceptable pictures. Smena 8m is very simply camera. It has typical metal-plastic soviet design. On camera except numbers are symbols like bright sun - sun - cloudy - rain - heavy rain, etc. see below!

* Interesting fact: among those ranks of Smena enthusiasts is included Lee Harvey Oswald, the man who assassinated John F. Kennedy. Following an FBI raid on his residence, a Smena-2 was found among his possessions. As fear of Communism and conspiracy theories abounded, this Soviet camera caused quite a controversy at the time.
